History
The company was founded in 1997 by the late Professor Börje Larsson and Mr. Torbjörn Adamson.
It is based on ideas by Professor Larsson, who at the time held a professorship at the University of Zürich and Paul Sherrer Institute in Switzerland. The goal was to create a tool for analysis of single cancer cells in large quantities and thereby overcome the well known problem of cell heterogeneity.
Sadly Professor Larsson passed away shortly after his return to Sweden and Uppsala, where his intention was to continue the research. The project laid in fallow for some years until Dr. Helene Andersson Svahn decided to take on the project in 2005.
