Torbjörn Adamson, Chairman of the board. Born in 1943. M.Sc. in Economics and Business administration at the Gothenburg School of Economics, BA at the University of Lund. Torbjörn Adamson pioneered in introducing the concept of Business Logistics in Sweden in the early seventies and has served for two decades as a business executive in the Transportation Industry. The last two decades he has been active as a private investor and he is managing director of Produco AB, principal owner of Picovitro. He founded Picovitro together with Professor Börje Larsson in 1998.
Helene Andersson-Svahn, Ph.D., Managing Director and head of Research. Born in 1974. Dr. Andersson Svahn is Professor at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden heading the Nanobiotechnology department. Dr. Andersson Svahn received her Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering at the Royal Institute in 2001 and holds a M. Sc. in Molecular Biotechnology. Between 2005 and 2008 she was Professor in Applied BIOMEMS at MESA+ Research Institute in Holland. Her main research focus is micro- and nano-fluidic devices for cell and protein analysis. Dr. Andersson Svahn has published numerous journal articles in the Lab-on-a-chip field and in 2003 Dr. Andersson Svahn was selected as member of the 'TR100: Innovators under 35 who will create the future' at MIT in USA. In 2006 Dr. Andersson Svahn was awarded a prestigious 5 year research fellowship from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. In 2002-2005 Dr Andersson Svahn was Marketing Director at Silex Microsystems which develops and manufactures microchips for Telecom and Life Science Industry. Currently she is scientific advisor for Silex Microsystems.
Jonas Larsson, born in 1960, M.Sc in Engineering Physics at University of Uppsala and MBA at INSEAD. Jonas Larsson is the son of late professor Börje Larsson and has been a Director since the start of Picovitro. Jonas Larsson has over 20 years experience in international environments, providing direction and leadership to both multinational and start up organizations. The last 14 years he has held several Senior General Management positions in the Medical Device Industry. Since 2006 he is Vice President and General Manager for IDEXX EMEA. Before that he was working for Stryker Corp. between 2000 and 2006 in the roles of Managing Director Stryker Nordic and Vice President of Marketing for Stryker EMEA. Between 1994 and 2000 he held several senior positions within the Elekta Group,
